NEWS: Charles Olivieri-Munroe appointed Artistic Director & Principal Conductor of the Krakow Ph


Canadian conductor, Charles Olivieri-Munroe has just been appointed Artistic Director & Principal Conductor of the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra.

Charles' has agreed to a 3 year contract commencing the 2015/16 concert season. He is very much looking forward to working intensely with this storied 100 piece orchestra and its outstanding mixed chorus of 80 in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. He had previously worked with the orchestra in March & May of ths year and in November 2013.

Charles will have the pleasure to work alongside Honorary Conductor Antoni Wit and Principal Guest Conductor Gabriel Chmura.

His first concerts in his new post will take place on November 6 & 7, 2015 at Philharmonic Hall in Krakow featuring Karol Szymanowski's Concert Overture, Jan Paderewski's Fantasy for Piano & Orchestra in G sharp minor performed by pianist Beata Bilinska and Richard Strauss' Alpine Symphony
